Never tried Asian cooking? Well you’ve been missing out.

Asian cooking is ver y versatile and has many dishes that are absolutely delicious. Asian cooking has a large range in variety because of the many regions that exist in the country. Asian cooking will include food from Beijing to Shanghai. The flavors of Cantonese, Szechuan, and Hunan pretty much guarantee something for everyone. If you have never tried Asian cooking, let me get you familiar with what you may be missing.
Asian food can go from mouth burning to soft and smooth as you experiment with the different districts. Szechuan cuisine is best known for its mouthburning dishes such as Kung Pao Chicken and Szechuan Noodles.
The Shanghai cuisine is best known for its slow cooking and more frequent use of soy sauce, highlighting the distinct taste of Eastern China. Hunan, just like Szechuan, highlights western Chinese cuisine but this at its best with elaborate presentation such as crispy duck, made with duck that is seasoned with peppercorns, star anise, fennel, and other spices, then steamed and finally deep-fried.
Though Hunan can be quite tasty you want to be aware that it is much spicier than Szechuan because while Szechuan recipes frequently call for chile bean paste, Hunan dishes are normally made with fresh chile peppers, including the seeds and membranes which contain most of the heat. If you want a touch of class for the evening then you must try Cantonese because it is the finest in Asian cooking.
True, Asian food may seem foreign to many but here at Homemade Cooks we enjoy bringing foods from all over the world right into our kitchen to experiment with and to enjoy. If you haven’t tried Asian cooking start with something simple and build up to the more complex tastes of region.
I definitely enjoy a night out from time to time but there’s nothing like making one of the delectable dishes mentioned above and seeing the faces of my family as they thoroughly enjoy something new or something they never thought they would like. So why don’t you branch out, as far as China, and cook an amazing Asian dish tonight. |
